Glen E. Dalton

Glen E. Dalton, 69, passed away August 29, 2017, at Trinity Center at Luther Park in Des Moines. He was born August 3, 1948, in Valley Stream, New York, to Edwin and Margaret Dalton.
Glen worked as a financial consultant for AG Edwards, Wells Fargo, and Ameriprise Financial throughout his career.
Glen was an avid sports fan, equestrian, fox hunter and golfer. He was actively involved in the community. He was best at making others laugh, was a friend to many, and loved by all. Glen’s greatest joy came from time spent with his family.
Glen is survived by his wife of 21 years, Cheryl; children, Stacie Elise Dalton and Aaron (Erin) Matthew Dalton; grandchildren, Alec, Madison, Cheyenne, Tyler, Brayden, Graham, and one on the way; sister, Marie Azur; father-in-law, Jordan; as well as other loving family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, John Dalton; and mother-in-law, Thelma.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, September 8, 2017, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines. Visitation will be held Thursday evening at the funeral home from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Refugee Mission through Zion Lutheran Church in Des Moines.
