Roger Harryman

Roger L. Harryman, 82, passed away August 29, 2017 at the Carlisle Nursing and Rehabilitation Center.
Roger was born June 19, 1935 in Grand River, Iowa to James and Ollea Harryman. He proudly served in the United States Air Force. Roger was a mechanic and also worked as a contract mail carrier at night. He was a member of American Legion Post #562 in Cumming. Roger loved cars, spending time with his family and telling jokes.
He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Ruby; sons, Lawrence (Joan), Kenny (Cathy) and Allen (Darla) Harryman; five grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; brothers, James and Claude Harryman; and a host of extended family and dear friends.
Roger was preceded in death by his parents and his sister, Adrian.
The family will greet friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 1, 2017 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 2nd at the funeral home. Roger will be laid to rest at Hopeville Cemetery in Hopeville, Iowa.

Roger, you will missed! I remember the great time we had in the semi truck running from DesMoines to Omaha with the mail and stopping in Avoca for ice cream. Thanks Roger and Ruby for my Love of Trucking.
