David Palmer, age 73, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2017 at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines. He was born on September 17, 1943 in Michigan.

David had a love for watching WWE Wrestling, he enjoyed fishing, and making matchstick crosses. David being the talker he was only made sense he had a CB Handle in his car. He enjoyed making new buddies and telling stories, later they began having CB get-togethers where they would meet for coffee and catch up.

David was lovingly known as “Pa” by everyone, he had a way of making everyone feel special. He always made the time to call and check in with family and friends. David truly never met a stranger no matter what he was doing or where he was at he made long lasting friendships. Even if it were just running errands to grocery shop or pay bills, he made each stop take twice as long and once he started talking he couldn’t stop! He was quite the flirt with the women and they were all called “Honey” by him. David will be dearly missed by his family and his memory will never be forgotten.

He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Joan; step-sons, Taylor H. Combs and Ricky (Becky) Hodge; grandchildren, Taylor Combs, Bobby Greu, Nadia Welding, and Esperanza Greu; sister, Barb Palmer; brother, Mickey Palmer; and a host of other extended loving family and friends.
