Danny Bales

Danny Bales, 57, passed away at his home in Eldora on Friday, August 25, 2017. He was born July 11, 1960, in Des Moines, Iowa, the son of Dort and Norma (McKeever) Bales.

He enjoyed outdoor activities, hunting and fishing were his favorite. He also spent many hours woodworking and loved bowling. His family meant everything to him and he will be dearly missed.

Danny is survived by his wife of 33 years, Carol Bales; children, Daniel (Cortney) Bales, Kyle Bales, and Trisdan (Kayla) Bales; mother, Norma Bales; grandchildren, Taylor Bales, Landon Bales, and Katelynn Bales; siblings, Darla (Allen) Harryman, Darcey (Jeff) Bailey, Dorty Bales; mother-in-law, Colleen Bales; and many other family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dort; and daughter, Ashley Bales.

Family will greet friends from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home, 105 4th Street SW, Altoona, IA. Funeral service will take place Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home. Burial with take place immediately following the funeral at Spry Cemetery in Runnells, Iowa.
