Ruby Myer

Ruby Fern Myer passed away on August 24, 2017 surrounded by her loving family at Fountain West Care Facility in West Des Moines, Iowa.

Born on June 25, 1923 in Sully, Iowa, she attended school through the eighth grade. As an adult she moved to Des Moines where she worked at various jobs before she married her husband, Charles Myer on March 17, 1947. Their son Charles Myer Jr., was born on December 19, 1947.

Ruby moved to Illinois in 1962 where she worked in civil services. She returned to the Des Moines area in the 1970’s but decided go back to Illinois where she retired from Victory Hospital. She eventually settled in Des Moines in 1990.

Ruby leaves behind as she ascends to the Lord Jesus Christ, a son, Charles and his wife Kathy; two granddaughters, Kristy and Reagan; and five great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Ian, Elyana, Chance and Madilyn. She was preceded in death by her husband Charles and her great-granddaughter, Johannah McMurray.
