Irene Reeves

Irene Reeves, 78, passed away August 22, 2017, in Des Moines, Iowa. She was born to Glen and Clara Harvey on July 18, 1939.

Irene was a lifelong resident of the Des Moines area. She worked for Wellmark Blue Cross/Blue Shield for 16 years and retired from Mercy Medical Center in 2005.

Irene was a member of Cornerstone Baptist Church. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, and attending Southern Gospel concerts with her husband.

Irene is survived by her loving husband, Claude Reeves; sons, Daniel Scott and Josh Scott; her 7 grandchildren; 2 brothers and 2 sisters, as well as other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and 2 brothers.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, August 26, 2017, at Cornerstone Baptist Church, 701 E. 1st Street in Ankeny with burial to follow at Pine Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday evening at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m.
