Edward Lange, Jr., age 69, passed away on August 8, 2017. He was born on March 11, 1948 in Hampton, Iowa.

Ed retired from Principal Financial Group. He had a passion for working in his garage on cars. Some of Ed’s hobbies and interests included collecting records, cars, and attending swap meets.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his children, Julie Doland (Cory Wells) and Leon (Cheryl) Lange; son-in-law, Mike Doland; grandchildren, Vivian Doland, Leon Lange Jr., Hunter Lange, Shene’ Lange, Brittany Guffey, William Guffey, and Cory Guffey; sister, Carolyn (Lester) Cook; niece, Andrea Cook; Patty Brooks; and his Siberian Husky, Kale.

Ed was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Helen Lange; and beloved German Shepherd, Smokey.

Celebration of Life will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines.
