Cathryn J. McBee, 76, passed away at her home surrounded by her loving family on August 8, 2017.
Cathryn was born February 22, 1941 in Milan, Missouri to Leon and Roselean Morley. She had lived in the Des Moines area for 61 years.
Cathryn is survived by her loving husband, Gary; children, Chris (Darla) McBee, Tara (Tony) Chiovaro and Ronda (Dave) Cameron; twin sister, Carolyn (Ron) Sinn and their daughters; six grandchildren, Chelsea Chiovaro, Anthony (Maria) Chiovaro, Meredith Saltzman, Gary Dean (Kenzie) McBee, Grant McBee and Abby McBee; five great-grandchildren, Italia, Lydia, Charli, Hannah and Westen; and a host of extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
The family will greet friends Friday, August 11, 2017 from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at 12 p.m. at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street. Cathryn will be laid to rest at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Orilla.

Aunt Cathy had the best laugh!!! Some of my favorite childhood memories are of ease dropping on the moms gossiping and laughing around grandmas dining room table. I miss those times and will miss you too. Rest peacefully.
