She avidly supported the visual art and actively attend social events at the Ankeny Art Center. She will be greatly missed by staff and members. Our hearts and prayer go out to her family. She was always a joy to talk with. She liked a good wine too.
We are recognizing her life accomplishments and her final modest gift to support us in our mission.
I am personally so joyed to see her family carrying on her caring and her commitment-service in the community.

We loved Dolores and remember sitting in the row behind your family in church services. She wrote wonderful Christmas letters and we were always blessed by them. We still use the Tupperware deviled egg trays she recommended. She always had a smile and was so very caring of others. Love to all of you.

Steve, Terry & Sherry. My sympathy to you & your families as you mourn the loss of your mother. She was an amazing person who made an impact on many lives. She and your dad were very important to our family. I recall numerous conversations with her at family gatherings over the years. She opened her home to my family on a trip we made to visit family in Indiana. May God bless and keep you in the days ahead.

Steve, Terry and Sherry,
I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your mom. I have such fond memories of our neighborhood in Clear Lake and all of the fun we kids had between the Van Oort, Berge and Herker houses. We were quite a crew and your mom was always a part of the fun too.
May our Lord and Savior keep you wrapped in His loving arms as you travel through this difficult journey. Blessings to all of you.

Dolores recruited me into Tupperware in the fall of 1984, we were on the same team. She was a great dealer. Funny lady. We could turn to her for a laugh anytime. RIP (Rejoice in Paradise).

Dolores was the most dedicated and generous Cub fan I have ever known. She allowed so many people to enjoy Iowa Cubs baseball by sharing her tickets. I have long inspired to be as spry and sharp as she was in her life. Coming to the ballpark will never be the same. I know God has a special place for her in Heaven.
