Sheryl Stouffer

Sheryl was born in Waterloo, IA 03-24-1942 to Dorothy and Roy McCombs. She was raised in Newton, IA where she graduated from Newton Sr. High in 1960. Sheryl was very active in music during school and remained very active in music for the rest of her life especially country and bluegrass music.
Sheryl later moved to Mitchellville, IA where she raised her four children and was active in her community and church choir.
Sheryl retired from Polk County in 2007 as a case worker aide living the rest of her days in Runnells, IA.
She is preceded in death by her parents and older brother Philip. Those left to honor Sheryl are her four children Scott Stouffer (Missy) Jewell, IA; John Stouffer Georgia, Tricia Codner (Brad) Pleasant Hill, IA. And, Bobby Joe Anamosa, IA.
Sheryl leaves behind sixteen grandchildren, three bothers David Bulmer, Terry McCombs and Doug Bulmer, a half-sister Linda Williams of Mississippi several nieces and nephews, many friends and, her beloved dog Bandit.
A very special thank you to her wonderful Hospice team!
A celebration of life gathering has been set for Saturday July 29th at Hamilton’s Funeral Home Altoona, IA from 2 to 4 PM.
Family and friends are asked to gather to the community center in Runnells (108 Brown Street) following the visitation period.

Trish and Family - I am so sorry for your loss. God received another angel. She is at peace and will be watching down on you everyday with a smile. You will always have your beautiful memories of your mom to help you get thru the loss. God take care of this beautiful lady and watch over her family.
