Sandra Post

Sandra Post, 65, passed away July 18, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines surrounded by the love and comfort of her family. She was born January 10, 1952, in Iowa City, Iowa, to Lloyd and Olive Wagner.

Sandra’s warm and compassionate personality was highly valued when she began her career as a care giver. Being a caretaker was something she did easily and with excellence. She was always willing to give of her time to others and loved helping those in need. Sandra cherished her family, especially her grandchildren, and nothing could compare to the enjoyment she got from spending time with her family and friends.

Sandra was a talented artist and master gardener. She loved old music, singing, and shopping.

Sandra is survived by her daughters, Mackenzie Post-Luttrell and Morgan Post; son, Tanner (Priscilla) Post; grandchildren, Gage Luttrell, Christian Cramblit, Kasen Miller, Korey Post, Kobey Post, and Lydia Wagner; sisters, Linda (Jerry) Thomson, Melody (Don) Lane, and Michelle Wagner; daughter-in-law, Cari Wagner; as well as other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Lanny Post; son, Ryan Wagner; grandson, Conner Post; her parents, Lloyd and Olive; and sister, Judy Thomson.

A celebration of life service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, July 21, 2017, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines with visitation to begin at 11:00 a.m.

Memorial contributions may be directed to the Animal Rescue League in loving memory of Sandra.
