Damon Ivey Johnston

Damon Ivey-Johnston, age 2 years, 8 months & 27 days, was taken to heaven on July 17, 2017. He is held in the arms of his Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Sloan and his Great-Grandma Laura, who precede him in death. Left to honor and cherish his brief time on earth are his mommy, Dominique, daddy, Daniel, Grandma Josie, Grandpa Brian, his aunts, Brittany and Tricia, his uncle, Justin, his cousins, Josh and Harligh, his Great-Grandma Donna and many other family and friends.

All services will be held at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines. Visitation will be from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m., Saturday, July 22nd. Funeral services will begin at 2:00 p.m., Sunday, July 23rd.

Damon was born October 20, 2014. He was a carefree, loving, sweet, happy little boy who was always either playing with his cars with an upside down binki, or cuddling up with one of his many favorite people.

He loved cars, his puppies and kitties, and even more so, his family. Even at the age of two, he could melt your heart with a hug or a hello. He was always so friendly to everyone he met. He had the best manners and always said, “Please,” and “Thank you.” Damon was always happy and smiling through his battle and even in the days before his passing, he still melted your heart. Damon was, and always will be, the sweetest little angel and held closely in our hearts.
