Sorry to hear, he must have towed me 20 times in one 10 year stretch, when he arrived I was always in calamity, but somehow, by the time we got where we were going, he had calmed me down and everything was going to be all right...I will miss those rides.

We were truly blessed to have known Ed & have him as a friend. Probably the most unselfish person we have known. We still hear his loud '55 Chevy as he passed our house on his way home. From coaching Scott's little league team to fixing Angie's bike to snow plowing our drive he always was giving. We shared a common love for hot rods. Whether it was cutting out rear wheel wells or painting his '55 we had a great time! We will always cherish his memory. God speed Ed as you embark on your new journey. We know you will be pedal to the floor & smiling all the way.

Fast Eddy. The Legend. Everyone who loved fast cars in the Altoona area knew and respected Fast Eddy. I did and still do. He was good with fast cars but he was even better as a friend. I never met him without him giving me a smile. He will truly be missed. Rest in peace Fast Eddy my friend.

So very sorry to hear about Edwin's passing. We graduated together in 1963 and our class recently met in June. Although he was unable to attend, all present shared an upbeat and uplifting conversation with him via cell phone. Velda, and children, our prayers are with you, not only now but also as the future unfolds. May God be an ever present comfort and help.

We simply can't imagine the neighborhood without Ed. He was the first to show up to help clean up after a storm, lend a hand with a project or just share a story. A great guy, a wonderful neighbor. Our love and sympathy to you all.

Velda, Marc, Beth & DeAnn,
My heart hurts for you. I'll always cherish the good times with Ed, working with him at Phillips 66, going to the races at Stuart with Ed, Carl and Fonzie, etc...I could go on forever about the good times, and I hope you will too.
