Betty Overton

Betty Jean Overton, 85, died Monday, January 28, 2008 at her home in Indianola. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Thursday, January 31, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Burial will follow at Avon Cemetery.
Betty was born September 14, 1922 to John and Ethel Killen in Des Moines. She graduated from Carlisle High School and married her husband, Don, of 59 years in 1942.
Betty is survived by her children, Susan (Keith) Bolton of Indianola and Mike (Cheryl) Overton of New Castle, PA; grandchildren, Lisa, Missy, Michael, Sean, and Nicole; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and beloved friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Overton; daughter, Carole Overton; brothers, Bob and Jack; and sisters, Mary and Margaret “Bill”.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family.
Visitation will be held 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
