Annie,
Your friendship and guidance still resonate with me today. I am truly grateful of the time spent having so much fun with you, Billy, Lee, and Jill. Sprinkle in a bit of Robbie, your mom, and Goofy...we laughed our tails off! Your thoughtfulness was amazing. Thank you for everything!
Love always,
Brad

Hi Kim,
I grew up in Altoona and we were neighbors of your Mom and Dad when they lived in Altoona (probably around 1968). I'm guessing you were probably 3 or 4 yrs old back then. I was about 10 years old then, so I'm sure you don't remember me or my family, but you and your Mom are nice childhood memories to me. I was the only girl and had 7 brothers so you were like the little sister I never had and I just thought your Mom was neat!! I remember spending lots of time at your house during the summer and rides to Des Moines to visit your Grandma Hazel. In later years, when my Mom was still alive, your Grandma use to do her taxes.
Anyway, I'm so sorry for your loss and I wish I would have known your Mom as an adult. Take Care.

To the family of Anne Young;
Kim you really don't know me but when we were kids growing up in Altoonayour mom and dad lived across the street from us.We used to go into town with your mom.We knew your Grandma Hazel, and I know where your mom got her personality and witt from. I throught about calling your mom several tines last summer but ever since she moved out of Altoona we lost touch,When your Uncle Joe died last fall I did ask your Aunt Pat about your mom and she said they really didn't see or talked. But I just want you too know that I do have alot of memories of you and your mom and dad. I'm so sorry for your lost and God Bless all of you in this time of your loss.

My heart goes out to you Jill, You have been a good friend for decades now.
I know there has been rough spots in the life of your mom, but I think that she brought her daughter up to be one of the nicest, most compasionate people I know.
Your Grandma will now be joined by her daughter, and they both will be looking down on you and guiding you the rest of your life also.
Jill, I love the memories I have of you and your family.
Love,
Duane

To Ann's family and friends: I am so sorry to hear you've lost Ann. She was one of the sweetest, kindest people I have known and my heart goes out to you. My son, "Little Lee", always looked up to her and considered her "another Mom". Please know we are thinking of you and let us know if there is anything we can do.
