Jess Van Meeteren

Jess Peyton Van Meeteren, 5, died Friday, January 25, 2008 at Blank Children’s Hospital. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Lutheran Church of Hope, 925 Jordan Creek Parkway. Burial will follow at Ankeny Memorial Gardens.
Jess was born April 11, 2002 to Drew Van Meeteren and Leah Churchman in Des Moines. She was a kindergartener at Northeast Elementary in Ankeny and a member of Lutheran Church of Hope. Jess loved life and touched the hearts of everyone who met her. She was a very special little girl who will be missed by many.
Jess is survived by her mom and dad, Leah Churchman and Drew Van Meeteren; twin brother, Kade Van Meeteren; grandpa and grandma, Duane and Darlene Churchman; and many aunts; uncles; cousins; and beloved friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandpa and grandma, LeRoy and Velma Van Meeteren.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family in care of Blank Children’s Hospital where a fund will be set up to supply equipment to special needs children.
Visitation will be held 7-9 p.m. Tuesday at the church.
