Mary Harty

Mary Rita Harty, 100, of Jupiter, FL died Friday, January 25, 2008 at the Jupiter Pavilion. Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 30, 2008 at Our Lady of the America’s Visitation Chapel; visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday evening at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, with a vigil service at 5:30 p.m. Private interment will take place in Glendale Cemetery.
Mary was born December 7, 1907 in Newell, Iowa. She worked for Equitable Insurance where she worked as a secretary. She was a member of the Visitation Rosary Society and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, church activities, going to mass and spending time with family.
Mary is survived by her daughter Kathy of Jupiter, FL; her grandson, Danny Johanson of Chicago, IL; her granddaughter, Mary Johanson of Jupiter, FL; and her brother, Edward Cooke of Atlantic Beach, FL. She was preceded in death by her husband James in 1962, her son Richard in 2000, and her grandson Chad in 2004.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Visitation Catholic Church or Holy Family School in loving memory of Mary.
