Sandra Gilbert

Sandra Gilbert 59, of Des Moines died Thursday at the Taylor House. Visitation will be held 2-4 p.m. Sunday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St., where a prayer service will be held at 3 p.m.
Sandra had many interests; she had been a taxi cab driver, seamstress, beutician, nurse, and she sold ads for placemmats. She was also a homemaker and she enjoyed drawing and traveling.
She is survived by her common law husband, Harry Ryan; mother, Larene Gilbert; daughter, Linda Larene Jessie (Daniel) Badolato; sons, Michael (Mickaleen) Waters, Jr. and Samuel Larry Bee (Judy) Waters; brothers, Raymond (Julia) Gilbert and Richard (Rose) Gilbert; sisters Judy K. (Lee) Meyerhoff, Barbara J. (John Beghtol) Brown, Martha Gilbert and Marson (Alan) Logsdon; five grandchildren, Tara Jessica Lynn Baldolato, Danielle Lynn Badolato and Daniel Baldolato, Jr., Aaron Waters and Bryan Waters; and the father of her three children, Michael E. Waters, Sr.
