Karen Campbell

Karen Campbell, 65, passed away at her home Wednesday, January 23, 2008. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, January 28, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. The family will greet friends from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Karen was born July 11, 1942 in Brownwood, Texas to Kenneth and Vera Timmons. She worked at Younker’s Tea Room and Jim’s Coney Island before becoming a security guard at the Des Moines International Airport. Karen was a member of Grace Church and enjoyed singing in the church choir. In 2000 she went on a church mission trip to Peru. She also enjoyed reading, watching movies, beading and taking photos, especially of her grandchildren. She loved spending time with her dog, Smokey and her cat, Trouble, but loves of her life were her six grandchildren.
Karen will be deeply missed by all who loved her and will be remembered as someone who was always there for everyone.
Karen is survived by her husband of 35 years, Larry; children, Doug (Barb) Fister, Larry Campbell, Jr., Helene (Joey) Whitney and Billy (Heidiann) Campbell; brothers, Kenny and George “Skip’ Timmons; and her beloved grandchildren, Marie, Nellie, Gabby, Billy Jr., Rylan and Kaeden. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, Norman and Tommy Timmons.

You know you will be missed by all of us. You were a good friend and sister and I know that Randy will take it hard that you are gone. You have done the Lord's work here so now you can be with the Lord and rest. I will miss you.
