Janice Davis

Janice E. Davis, 59, died Saturday, January 19, 2008 at her home. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, January 23, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street. Burial will follow at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Janice was born January 14, 1949 to John and Almeda Kimmel and married her loving husband on April 29, 1967. She was a homemaker, enjoyed listening to country music and spending time with her family.
Janice is survived by her husband, Maynard “Butch” Davis Jr. of Runnells; daughter, Sherry Perry (Raymond Clark) of Runnells; granddaughters, Kirstin and Taurie Davis of Runnells; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Davis of Runnells; sisters, Bonnie Borne and Kay Heathecote, both of Des Moines; brothers, Rick (Sharon) Kimmel of St. Charles, Bob (Tootie) Kimmel of Peru; mother-in-law, Louise Davis Leavitt of Des Moines; and step-grandson, Dennis Flanders of Des Moines.
She was preceded in death by her son, Maynard “Bud” Davis III; parents, John and Almeda Kimmel; granddaughter, Cheyenne Davis; sister, Jean Robinson; and brothers, Marvin, Larry, Harley, and Jack Kimmel.
