Norman Lathrop

Norm passed away at the age of 75 at Mercy Hospice House, December 5, 2006. The funeral service will be held 2 P.M. Friday December 8th at Missionary Baptist Church in Carlisle with burial following at the Carlisle Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5-8 P.M. Thursday, December 7th at the church.
Norm was born September 1, 1931 to Coonie and Emma Lathrop. He was a Veteran of the Korean War, an AIB graduate, and retired from Barton Solvents, Inc. after 35 years of service. He was a member of Carlisle Marble Lodge, Runnells Faithful Lodge, OES of Runnells, Carlisle Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Carlisle Christian Church. He attended Missionary Baptist Church in Carlisle. Norm is survived by his wife, Fay Lathrop of Carlisle; daughter, Sharon and son-in-law Curt Snodgrass of Carlisle; son-in-law, Jim Westbrook of Indianola; 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters, 2 brothers, an infant son, a daughter and a granddaughter. Memorial contributions may be made to Carlisle Band Uniform Fund or Mercy Hospice.
