Mona Quinn

Mona Lisa Quinn, 90, died January 18, 2008 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held after 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
Mona was born November 18, 1917 to Lloyd and Margaret (Carpenter) Brown in Cutbank, Montana. Her family moved from Montana to Des Moines when she was an infant and she continued to reside in the Des Moines area. She was a graduate of East High School. Mona worked as an administrative assistant with the Iowa State Bar Association for 25 years until her retirement in 1983. She enjoyed traveling, music, movies and spending time with her family and friends.
Mona is survived by her sister, Darlene Folsom of Charlotte, Michigan; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Vernon Patrick Quinn in 1974.
Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association or American Heart Association in honor of Mona’s memory.
