Brenda Duffy

Brenda Duffy, 61, of Prole, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, July 2, 2017 at her home. Brenda Jean was born on March 8, 1956 in Kansas City, MO. to Rachel (Cruickshank) and Lucas Voss.

Brenda was a registered nurse and loved caring for others. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, gardening, her beloved pets and her companion, Dan.

Those left to mourn her passing are her sons, Joshua (Amanda) Eastwood and Brian Hoover; her long-time companion, Dan Streyffeler; her sister, Susan Bryant; grandchildren, Jeron Eastwood and Charlette Eastwood; numerous nieces and nephews and special friends.

She was preceded in death by mother, Rachel (Cruickshank) Voss; father, Lucas Voss; sister, Anne Voss Hildreth; and brothers, Alan Voss and Lou Voss.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Friday, July 7, 2017 at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home, 5400 SW 9th Street in Des Moines. Family will greet visitors on Friday at the funeral home starting at 10 a.m. until service time.
