Jeanette Hall

Jeanette Claire (Taylor) Hall, age 78, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 30, 2017, at Prairie Hill Assisted Living.

Jeanette was born March 12, 1939, in Bethany, Missouri, to Robert and Vera Lenore (Werninger) Taylor. She married James Hall on July 22, 1956. She worked for J. C. Penney as an associate for 38 years before retirement. Jeanette was a member of Fort Des Moines Open Bible Church for many years, and most recently Glad Tidings Church and volunteered in both nurseries. She loved taking car rides with James, gardening, canning, and making doilies for everyone. Jeanette would cook holiday feasts for the whole family and always made birthday pizzas and cakes. She was a quiet, caring person who took care of her six sisters and one brother growing up, and continued to be the care giver for her whole family throughout her life.

She is survived by her husband, James; children, Mary Raymond, Betty (Robert) Trimble, and Mark Hall; 9 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; brother, Charlie (Donna) Taylor; sisters, Sue McVey, Charlotte Decker, Lynda (Glen) Greenfield, Robyn (Jim) Klingbeil, Patsy (Leon) Laughery, and Terry (René)Swanson; and many nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Vera Lenore Taylor.

Visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m., followed by funeral services at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, July 6, 2017, at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, 314 E Army Post Rd, Des Moines. Burial will take place at Sunset Memorial Gardens after the services.
