Harry G. Penman

Harry George Penman, 88, passed away June 23, 2017 at Hospice at the VA Hospital in Des Moines. He was cremated and a graveside service will be held Thursday, June 29th beginning at 10:30 a.m., at Lowman Cemetery in Runnells, Iowa..

Harry was born November 2, 1928 in Runnells to Barnett and Doris Penman. He married Helen Philby on March 26, 1950. Harry loved all animals and loved watching his birds. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

Harry is survived by his loving wife of 67 years, Helen; sons, Steve (Cindy), Kelly Sr. (Kathy) and Kevin (Nancy) Penman; 12 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jack (Wilomi) Penman; sister, Della Bebber and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his sons, Robert and John Penman; sister, Peggy Clark; and his parents.
