Debra Quinn

Debra Ann (Seymour) Quinn passed away June 20, 2017, at Taylor House Hospice after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer. She was born in Des Moines, Iowa, on December 21, 1952, to Charles and Katherine Seymour.
Debra worked at Mercy Medical Center as an R.N. in the Neurology Department for 35 years, retiring in 2001. She was a member of Capitol City Church in Des Moines and formerly served as President of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition (NOCC).
Debra enjoyed decorating, spending time with her family, and spoiling her grandchildren any chance she could.
Debra is survived by her loving husband of 36 years, Harry Quinn Jr.; children, Sara Quinn and Tanner (Amanda) Quinn; grandchildren, Jay, Jonathan, and Brenna; siblings, Doris (Paul Wellman) Jaworski and Chuck (Wilma) Seymour; as well as a host of other loving family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Karen Stanley.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2017, at Capitol City Church, 5990 NE 14th Street in Des Moines. Visitation will be held Friday evening at the church from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. A private family burial will be held at Pine Hill Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Iowa Chapter of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition in loving memory of Debra.
