Patricia A. Cozad
June 16, 2017
Patricia A. Cozad, age 73, passed away Friday, June 16, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines, Iowa.
Patricia was born June 28, 1943, in Des Moines, Iowa, to Dan and Virginia Solomon. Her family was most important to her and she loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Patricia enjoyed crossword puzzles and word searches. She liked watching old western programs, cooking and eating out. She was ornery and had a good sense of humor. Patricia would do anything for you. She was a very caring person who would go out of her way to help. She had no filter and would often speak her mind, but she was very loving and generous.
Patricia is survived by her children, Gary (Sheila) Cozad, Julie Cozad and Pamela Cozad; grandchildren, Crystal, Kenny, Rodney (Melissa), Blake (Kennedie), Cory (Stevie), R.J., Cody and Samantha; great-grandchildren, Vanessa, Kira, Hudson, Kameron, Trinity, Chanell and Kennedy; and many other friends, cousins and other extended family.
She was preceded in death by her son, Robert Cozad; parents, Dan and Virginia Solomon; brother, Don; and sister, Nancy.
A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017, beginning at about noon, at 804 W. 4th Avenue, Indianola, IA 50125. Please bring a beverage of your choice, and a lawn chair if you wish. Please contact family with any questions.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.

I'm so sorry to learn of cousin Patty's passing. My deepest sympathies to Gary, Julie, Pam, and the rest of your families for your loss. In recent years I hadn't seen your mom nearly as often as I would have liked, but when we did get together at family gatherings it was always a great time, good conversation. And even though over the years we weren't always the closest I always felt a special connection to Patty since, when I was just four years old, I was ring bearer in her and your dad's wedding. She was always so sweet to me, and of course, so beautiful. Good memories. My condolences to all whose lives she touched. She will be missed.

Pat was a trooper. She climbed to the top of the seats at the football games. She always was ready to help her family. You can count on Pat. Grandma Pat. Mother.
I speak this in admiration to her. She was a wonderful lady. She will be missed by all who knew her.
God be with you all. Love you all.
G'pa and G'ma.
