Milton Crowe, 63, died on June 12, 2017 at Mercy Hospice in Johnston. He was born in Des Moines, on May 4, 1954, to Samuel, Sr. and LaVonnye (Lamb) Crowe.
Milton is survived by his wife Shelly Bates-Crowe; daughters, Danelle (Thomas) Sulentic, Janette Marsh and Samantha (Zach) Brandon; siblings, Marlene, Sharla, Bonnie Jo, Jane and Ray Walter; grandchildren, Jasmine Stansbury, Austyn Allen, Tristan Sulentic, Shani Sulentic, Londyn Sanders and Jaxsen Lee Brandon. He is preceded in death by his parents; brother Samuel and sister in law Joni Crowe
He had a passion for small engines and was always found tinkering around in his garage. Milt had a knack for storytelling as well.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday, June 16, 2017 at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral home.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the family.

milton was great brother he always smiling willing to lend a hand no matter what . even the weather couldn't keep him down we may have different ways but always knew if we call'd each other the other would come to the recuse . i'm sure your tinkering up in the big blue . heaven . love you and miss you brother.

My condolences to all of Milt's friends and family, He was a story teller with a kind heart. He will be missed especially by those who called him a friend. His yearly phone call to my daughter playing Santa when it became clear Uncle Jim was not will be a cherished memory.
