Larry F. Butler, 74, passed away June 6, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center in Des Moines.
Larry was a lifelong resident of the Des Moines area and retired from AT&T as an installer. He then went to work with his nephew at Clark Tree and Lawn Care for many years. Larry enjoyed classic cars and playing pool. He was a loyal member of the Concrete Cruizers Car Club and Good Guys Car Club where he established and maintained numerous friendships.
Larry is survived by his children, Todd (Kimber) Butler and Laurie (Keith) Patterson; grandchildren, Makayla, Bryanna, Jarod, Chelsea, and Emily; great-grandchildren, Kaiden and Noah; as well as other loving family and countless friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Pauline Butler; brother, John Clark; and sister, Barbara Ann.
Please join the family for an informal gathering at the graveside on Saturday, June 10, 2017, at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery, 1 NE 60th Avenue in Des Moines at 10:30 a.m. Visitation will be held Friday evening at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.
