Ellen was so kind to me when I lost my mother before coming to work in Madison. She was always a hard, exacting, and expert worker, earning an honorary title as Queen of USDA Grants of Inspection for her unfailing attention to correct detail. Her love of family and sunsets are legendary.

Ellen was a colleague and friend. She was very effective in her work with FSIS, and everyone who had the privilege to work with Ellen had a sincere and deep respect for her. She shared her love of her family, her appreciation of Door County, and her enjoyment of popcorn with her co-workers. She is missed very much!

I have had the privilege of working with Ellen for the last 15 years, She epitomized customer service--she certainly walked the walk. She was always helpful. To hear of her adventures to Door County helped me see the beauty through her eyes. She is missed. My prayers are with the family.

My love and prayers to the family of Ellen. She was such a loving and caring lady.It is heart breaking to see the news as she was at my husbands memorial just one year ago. I know she is in Heaven and helping Dr. Stahnke with any paper work he needs done. Take one day at a time for healing and know we are all here for you. Hugs Lila Jean
