Jim Siasoco

Jaime “Jim” Villanueva Siasoco, age 65, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family Friday, June 2, 2017, at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.
Jim was born February 2, 1952, in Manila, Philippines, to Amado and Alita (Villanueva) Siasoco. He graduated from Lincoln High School in 1970 and enlisted in the U.S. Army. After his service, he attended Briar Cliff College and Des Moines Area Community College. He worked for the U. S. Postal Service for 38 years, retiring in 2014. He was a proud member of the Filipino American Association and the American Postal Workers Union and regularly attended St. Joseph Catholic Church. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, playing golf, and watching horse races.
Jim is survived by his wife of 39 years, Josefina; children, Jennifer (John) Adrianse and Jeffrey (Amber) Siasoco; grandchildren, Miles Siasoco, Frances Adrianse, and James Adrianse; mother, Alita V. Siasoco; siblings, Senen (Menchu) Siasoco, Amado (Susan) Siasoco Jr., Susan (Jay) Imhoff, Lori (Bob) Heggen, Edwin (Kathy) Siasoco, and Ricco (Guy) Siasoco; as well as many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Amado E. Siasoco Sr. and niece, Mercedes M. Heggen.
Visitation will be held from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., with a Vigil Service at 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 6, 2017, at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines. Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 7, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3300 Easton Blvd, Des Moines. Private burial will follow.

We were saddened to hear of Jaime's passing, we both worked at the Post Office with him for many years. He always had a smile on his face and adored his family, he will be missed by many. Our thoughts and prayers are with Josie and his family.

Rest In Peace Jim. Great father, great brother, great son. You were always fun to be around, always gave joy to others with that quick laugh and smile. Fond memories on the golf course and just having a beer (well, a couple). You will be missed. Fore!
