Charles Houston

Charles “Chuck” Edward Houston was born September 16, 1936 in Des Moines to Charles and Alice (Collin) Houston. He passed away May 29, 2017 at Karen Acres in Urbandale at the age of 81.

Chuck graduated from Dowling High School. He served in the United States Navy. Chuck worked in retail marketing for several years before his retirement. He was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Chuck is survived by his children, Michael Houston, Kelly Houston, Cindy Houston, Sandra Speed, Christine Lewis and Scott Houston; three grandchildren; brother, Jim; sisters, Mary and Willa “Billie”; and a host of extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Per his request, his body has been cremated and in the near future a prayer service will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church.
