Robert A. Latshaw
May 27, 2017
Robert Allen Latshaw, 67, passed away Saturday, May 27th, 2017, at Mercy Medical Center. He was born July 24th, 1949, to John and Janet Latshaw in Des Moines, IA.
Bob graduated from North High School in 1967 and went on to work for the Des Moines Register and Tribune for over 20 years before becoming disabled with MS.
Bob had many cars that he loved over the years including a pink dune-buggy that he liked taking his kids and grandkids for rides in. He had a crying laugh that if you've seen, you will never forget. He had a pure kindness to all people that is rare and will be greatly missed by all who met him.
Bob is survived by his children Michael Latshaw of Des Moines, Lori (Richard) Colbert of Summerville, SC and Heather Latshaw of Des Moines; ten grandchildren; one great grandchild with another on the way; brother Larry (Connie) Latshaw of Minburn and many other family and friends. He was preceded in death by both his parents.
A private graveside service and burial will take place at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.

Bob was a favorite cousin. He'd been dealt a lot of hard knocks. bad things happen to good people. He's in the arms of his loving family now.

Saying my uncle bobert was one of a kind is an understatement. (No its not a typo..was always my funny nickname for him) i will never forget learning to shave my mustache from him (only few will understand) and getting to drive his corvette and the doon buggy rides! He could always make me laugh no matter what life was throwing at me! I will be reminded of him from simple things like pepsi and peanut butter to deeper things like the amazing times heather and i would have at his house and how much he adored her! You will be greatly missed! I love you uncle bob!!!

Sorry to hear of Bob's passing. I have not seen him in years. My x husband and Bob were big car guys back then. I still remember racing around in Bob's Red 64 Malibu! He married one of my dearest old friends. God Bless and keep you Bob, and family.
