Tina M. Pregon
May 26, 2017
Tina M. Pregon went home to be with the Lord on Friday, May 26, 2017 at Taylor Hospice House. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 am Thursday June 1, 2017 at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Burial will take place in Graceland Cemetery at Knoxville, Iowa at 1:30 p.m. Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. with a Rosary at 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 31 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines.
Tina was born on September 8, 1922 in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania to Nichole Mastorani and Ida Provenzano. She was a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. She was married to her husband, John E. on January 31, 1948. She was a kind and amazing woman. She loved all things beautiful – especially flowers.
The title “Aunt” does not fully describe who Tina was – she was so much more than that. She loved and cherished her nieces and nephews as if they were her own children. She is lovingly remembered by her nephews, Pat (Jenny) Pregon and Jim Williams; niece Carmen (Kenneth) Mylon; great nephews, Chad (Sarah) Winslow, J.J. (Jackie Miller) Williams, Jessie (Amanda) Williams and Jerry Jacobs; and many great - great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by her husband John, parents, and her sister Betty Williams.
Memorials are suggested to the family.

Carmen -
This is a very hard task for me to write about Tina. I met her 27 years ago at Communication Data Services. She took me under her wing and showed me everything I needed to know to be successful in the workplace. I'm searching for the right words to communicate my feelings. Tina wasn't just a coworker to me, she was like a mother. If I did something wrong she wouldn't hesitate to chastise me. She would say, sit your little a word down and let me talk to you. I would say Mom you can't say words like that in the workplace. That didn't stop her. She would then follow that up with S.O.B. I'm truly sorry to hear of you loss. Please accept my condolences and may the Lord bless and comfort you and your family in this time of grief.
Your aunt was a highly valuable and respected member of our team and the effects of her passing are already being felt here by her fellow employees and management. Tina was a wonderful employee who understood the meaning of the word Team. She was always more focused on the good of the company and the department than on herself. She made many great contributions to the company and helped it move forward in numerous ways. Her work here will not be forgotten.

I can't believe your gone. It happened way to fast. One day you were fine then all of a sudden you were gone. No one was ready for that. We are still all in shock. You were the best Aunt in the world. You will be missed by all that knew you. You touched a lot of people's lives. I love you Aunt Tina and I'm going to miss you.

I thought you'd always be here, I never thought you'd leave.
You were supposed to live forever, I am still in disbelief.
Words cannot describe, what you mean to me.
You're forever in my heart, that is where you'll always be.
I know I wasn't perfect, and that it never bothered you.
You only seen the good in me, and in my big brother too.
You said a prayer for all of us, every single day.
We all returned the prayers for you, in this month of May.
You were stronger that I realized, you fought with all your might.
Even with your Daddy, leading you to the light.
Now you're up in heaven, with all the ones before.
They've all been waiting patiently, while looking through the floor.
I know I'm being selfish, by thinking it's unfair.
The last words you said to me were, I love you too Jer.

Tina will be in our hearts forever. She was an amazing person and we'll always remember the many times she made us laugh! She was the last of the "six pack". Cam and Ed, Betty and Tater, Tina and Johnny. They did everything together, and we were lucky enough to be a part of it all. Our favorite "Tina story" that still makes us laugh is when they were much younger and Johnny was trying to come home (drunk). He couldn't find the house and kept going around and around the block. Every time he'd come around one more time she'd shake her head and say "here comes that S.O.B. again" She told that story a thousand times. Anybody that knew Tina - that small, perfect, kind, loving woman - knew she cussed like a sailor. You couldn't stop at Tina and Johnnys house without having a good time and good pasta. They were the perfect pair and loved each other very much.. We're glad they're together again. He's been waiting a long time for her. We'll all be missing you, Tina. We love you very much ...

Tina is always going to be with us in our memories. She lived an amazing life. We watched Johnny's old home movies over the weekend, and watched Tina with all of us when we were kids, and watched Tina with Johnny, Betty, Tater, and Grandma Cam and Grandpa Ed. We were all truly blessed to have Tina and all of them in our lives. They are all together now, and I hope we can all be together with them someday too. Thanks for being such a wonderful godmother, Tina, and I will always remember and love you. You being gone leaves a large hole in all of our lives, but that hole is filled with memories of you. All of us who are left behind will cherish your memory, and even though we are spread out all over, we will honor your memory by loving each other and being there for each other, no matter where we are all at. Much love to all of the family, I wish I could be there with you all now.

Tina is a loving memory forever. In 1981, I was fortunate to have worked for Tina at Charter Data Services (CDS). To this day, I wish I had her energy. She always had a smile and would laugh with ease. May her family find comfort during this difficult time.

We are so sorry to hear of her passing. What a wonderful aunt she was and so much more! Always full of love for everyone and always being funny picking on johnny when we would go over to see them when we were young. I'm never going to forget her spaghetti. We feel like another piece of us is gone just as we did when all of my grandparents and johnny and Betty and tater left us. They were all so full of unconditional love and happiness for us all and they all got along great together. Now they are all out of pain and dancing once again together in heaven watching over us. We will miss you aunt Tina but glad you are in gods hands now. Miss you and always love you! Thanks for everything you passed on to us! Someday we'll all see you again. Rest In Peace. We love you!
