Linda Tullis, age 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Friday, May 26, 2017. She was born the daughter of Dale and Lorene Fett on August 4, 1946 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Linda was a devoted member of Capitol Hill Lutheran Church where she enjoyed volunteering. She was also an active member of the Lions Club and chairperson of Parks Community Thanksgiving Dinner at Chuck’s Restaurant. Linda worked at Home InStead Senior Care as a caregiver for 15 years and was awarded employee of the year. She loved to square dance, and volunteer at the Iowa State Fair and Rendezvous on the River. She loved spending time with her family and friends, especially coloring and playing games with her granddaughter had brought her great joy. Linda will be lovingly remembered for her kindness, generosity, and as a go-getter.
Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 51 years, Paul; children, Jim (Melissa) Tullis and David (Lisa) Tullis; granddaughter, Margaret Tullis; siblings, Shirley (Bill) Winters, Joyce (Al) Diers, and brother-in-law, John Coulter; and many nieces, nephews and other loving family & friends.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Karen Coulter.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon Street, Des Moines. Funeral service will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 31, 2017, at Capitol Hill Lutheran Church, 511 Des Moines St., Des Moines, followed by burial at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery.
