Victoria Scavo

Victoria L. Scavo, 86, of Des Moines passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, January 13th from congestive heart and renal failure.
The funeral Mass will be at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday at Christ the King Catholic Church with burial following at Glendale Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 4-8 P.M. Tuesday evening at Hamilton’s Southtown Funeral Home where there will be at 7 P.M. vigil service.
Victoria was a homemaker and enjoyed selling vegetables at the farmer’s market with her husband Dan. She enjoyed polka music, embroidering, watching cooking shows and especially cooking for her family. She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church and survived by her daughter Vickey (Scott) Durham of Des Moines, her son Nick (Rhonda) Scavo of Des Moines, her sister Mary (George) Lamotta of Des Moines, her grandchildren Jennifer (Brad) Helmuth, Justin Scavo and Tyler Scavo as well as her great grandchildren Morgan, Mia, Scott and Francesca. She was preceded in death by her husband Dan.
Memorial contributions may be made to Christ the King Catholic Church.
