Wanda Correy

Wanda M. Correy, 70, of Altoona, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, January 8, 2008. A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, January12, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial of her cremated remains following at Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 P.M. Friday evening at the funeral home. Wanda will be cremated following the visitation.
Wanda was born in Des Moines on June 9, 1937 to Lester and Irene (Grimes) Miller. Wanda enjoyed shopping and being a friend to anyone’s dog. Most of all she loved spending time with her family. She attended the First Family Church in Ankeny.
Wanda is survived by her children, Warren “Dale” Wing, Douglas C. (Carlene) Wing, Joyce E. (Vince) Grimes, Jeffrey M. (Jennifer) Wing, Patrick R. (Andrea) Correy; Thirteen grandchildren; Eighteen great-grandchildren; and many other extended family members. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert D. Correy, Jr. and great granddaughter Sarah Wing.
