James Sommers

James D. Sommers, 78, passed away Monday, December 31, 2007 at Genesis Health Care Center. Jim was born in Des Moines.
James served in the US Navy. He worked for the Supervalu Warehouse. He formerly lived at 3939 5th Avenue in Des Moines.
He is survived by his son, Tom Sommers; grandson, Tim Clouse and great grandson, Roland Clouse. He was preceded in death by his wife, Anna Marie Sommers; parents, Harry and Maurine Sommers; daughter, J.D. Clouse and brother, Robert Sommers.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm Friday, January 4, 2007 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, with burial following at Highland Memory Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held for one hour prior to the service.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Mercy Hospice.
