Andrew Grimm

Andrew “Andy” Grimm, 78, died December 29, 2007. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2008 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. with burial at Glendale Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
Andy was born April 13, 1929 in Des Moines. He lived in the Des Moines area most of his life. Andy served as a Private First Class with the Marines in the Korean Conflict. He loved to fish and talk on HAM radio. Andy was a welder at Eagle Iron Works.
Andy is survived by his wife, Mary Louise Grimm; sons, Thomas E., Randy A. and Tony R. Grimm all of Des Moines; daughters, Sandra J., Pamela S. and Donna J. Grimm all of Des Moines; brothers, George Grimm of Ankeny, Ronald and Denny Grimm both of Des Moines; sisters Joyce Grimm and Gwen Hodson of Indianola, IA and Margaret Love of Snohomish, WA; nine grand children and four great-grandchildren.
