Betty J. (Tingley) Freel, 81, died of cancer, Friday, December, 28, 2007 at Taylor House in Des Moines with her family by her side. Betty was born October 31, 1926 in Des Moines to George and Opal Tingley. She grew up on the family farm in the Ivy area.
Betty enjoyed tending her flower garden, baking and spending time with her family and friends.
She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Jack; son, Randy and his wife, Janet; daughter, Shaunda Leiffert and her husband, Chad. Betty had three grandchildren, Amanda Freel; Mark and Matthew Leiffert.
Betty will be remembered most for her caring nature, concern for others and warm smile.

Family will visit with friends from 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, December 30, 2007 at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 31, 2007 at Canfield Cemetery in Ivy, Iowa.
Memorial contributions may be made to Ivy Centennial Methodist Church or Taylor House Hospice.
