Tami Lynn Evans Lamb

Tamarra “Tami” Lynn (Evans) Lamb, age 57, passed away Wednesday, May 10, 2017, at Fleur Heights Care Center in Des Moines.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Friday, May 12, 2017, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave, Des Moines. Funeral service will be at 12:00 p.m., Monday, May 15, 2017, also at the funeral home, followed by burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery.
Tami was born May 20, 1959, in Des Moines, Iowa. She was a graduate of East High School and Upper Iowa University. She was employed with Principal Financial Group for 32 years in their IT department. Tami loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed camping, quilting, needle point, and computer technology.
Tami is survived by her husband of 38 years, Alan, daughters, Jennifer (Chris) Lamb-Essig and Valerie (Tanner) Lamb-McPherren, grandchildren, Alexis, Jacob and Chloe Jo, siblings, Elizabeth Gillman and David Evans, as well as numerous extended family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, JoAnne Evans and brother, Roy Dean Shafer.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Tami.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of East Village Care Center, Fleur Heights Care Center, and St. Croix Hospice.

I've known Tami since grade school. Lots of good memories in Blue Birds and Camp Fire Girls. Your sweet smile will be missed by many. My thoughts and prayers for the family.

So sorry to hear of Tami passing away. We've only known her for a couple of years being in the previous Care Facility but feels like "family" to us. Our sincere condolences and prayers are with you all.
