Terri Friday
May 10, 2017
Terri was born June 19, 1986 to George Leroy White and Darla A. Parker. She graduated from Southeast Polk High School in 2004 and continued her education at Grandview University as a journalism major and was also cast in several play productions in both high school and college.
Terri had many loves in her life, for you see, Terri was a very passionate person and she loved deeply. She met the love of her life, Nicholas Friday and they wed August 5, 2005. On May 5, 2007, they were blessed with their daughter Isabel, whom Terri loved fiercely. Isabel was definitely the light of Terri’s life.
Terri’s other interests included the Cubs, Iowa Hawkeyes, softball, reading, and spending time with family and friends. She would encourage all she knew to consider organ donation as she was a recipient herself and was so appreciative of the extra years she enjoyed because of Cory.
Terri is survived by her daughter Isabel, husband Nick (Nicholas), mother, Darla Parker, grandfathers, Jack Parker and Blaine White, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins, whom she loved deeply.
She was preceded in death by her father, George Leroy White, brothers, Curtis, Gerry, and Craig White, and her grandmother, Joyce Parker.
Visitation and Services will be held at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Altoona, IA. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 pm Monday, May 15th. Services on Tuesday, May 16th at 11:00 am. Interment will follow the services at Highland Memorial Gardens in Des Moines.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family to help defray funeral expenses.

Terri touched my life in two ways the first was knowing her mom Darla and how much Darla loved her the second was by being friends with Liane Snow and was a bridesmaid in her wedding. She was a joy as a little girl when I knew her then and a beautiful and lovely women. My prayers are with you as you walk this path.
