My deepest condolences go out to all whole loved my grandpa Dick. I will forever cherish all the great memories that we shared together over the years when I was a kid. He filled my heart with love and joy for living everytime he was with us in Florida on his vacation. We are lucky to have had him visit us all those years, year after year. Those times are now precious and the memories I have I will cherish forever. I will never forget my visit with grandpa at Sunny View before his passing. We talked, we cried, we laughed, we hugged, we looked at pictures remembering the good times we had. He lived a full life and Praise the Lord he is no longer in any pain and he is with our Lord Jesus Christ in Heaven above. I love you Grandpa and I will hold our great times and your memory close in my heart forever!

When I think of my Grandpa Dick I think immediately of love and then laughter. He and I have always had certain kinship. We were constantly ornery with one another in a fun loving kind of way! That's what I enjoyed the most about being with my Grandpa. We were family but most importantly we were great friends!
I feel blessed to have had him in my life for the past 34 years making memories that will be cherished for a lifetime. His Christmas visits were never without love and great fun! Driving the wrong way on a busy highway, freezing at Disney World during what must have been the coldest day in Florida history, diving into the swimming pool to come up a vivid shade of blue, snoring in church and whipping me in a game of "Horse" only to gloat about it for years to come are just a few of the memories that have flooded my mind in the past few days.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all of our family and friends who knew and loved Grandpa Dick. He'll feel no more pain. He'll cry no more tears. I know in my heart he was welcomed to Glory with open arms and is rejoicing with Jesus even as I write this. In the midst of all my tears for how I will miss him so, the thought of him being with Jesus and walking the streets of gold makes me smile!! Grandpa is a part of me. I will love him forever and I look forward to walking those streets of gold with him and Jesus one day!
With Loving Thoughts,
