Frederick "Fred" Miller

Frederick Barnard Miller, 75, passed away suddenly May 8, 2017, at his home in Ankeny, Iowa. He was born April 19, 1942, in Charter Oak, Iowa, to Virgil and Pauline Miller.
Fred had a passion for anything and everything automotive. He retired from Crouse Cartage Company after 33 years of service and was most recently working for Karl Chevrolet as a porter. Fred was a member of Graham Owner’s Club International and Early Wheels of Iowa. He enjoyed sports, watching NASCAR, listening to music, and dancing.
Fred is survived by his wife, Pam; children, Julieann Anderson, Roger Miller, Suzann Wetherell, and Joann Miller; 9 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; sisters, Kathryn Kasper and Jane Anderson; as well as many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Richard D. Clark; sister, Jean Warren; and the mother of his children, Rosemary Miller.
A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Monday, May 15, 2017, at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Avenue in Des Moines.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family in loving memory of Fred.
