Eva "Pat" Kirschbaum

Eva “Pat” Kirschbaum, 87, passed away on Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Taylor House Hospice in Des Moines.
The visitation will be held Sunday, December 30, 2007 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. in Des Moines. A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, December 31, 2007 at Rising Sun Church of Christ in Pleasant Hill of which she was a member. Immediately after the service, a luncheon will be held at the church and burial will follow at Glendale Cemetery.
Pat was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother who spent many years as a homemaker. During this time she was involved in many political organizations and was founder of the D.R.I.V.E Ladies Auxiliary, Teamsters Local Union No. 147 and the First Chapter for the International Brotherhood of Teamsters. Pat was also a member of Young Democrats, Eastern Star and Phi Tau Omega Sorority.
Her political involvement helped begin her 20 year career in the Polk County Treasurer’s Office serving many years as 1st Deputy Treasurer under Carl Bogenrief and later Fred Horner before retiring in 1987.
Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Sr.; parents, John and Emma McWilliams; and brothers, Bill, Edward, Glenn and Jerald. Also preceding her in death was her son, Charles Jr.; great-grandson, Joey Bennett and great-granddaughter, Jessica Campbell.
Those left to honor her memory include her daughters, Charlene Hildreth and Carolyn Kirschbaum of Des Moines; son, Carl (Clover) Kirschbaum of Crown Point, Indiana; grandchildren, Bobette (Ray) Gulick, Belinda O’Neal, Steven Hildreth, Jeff Hildreth, Bobby (Val) Mason, Vernon Bennett, Jr., Pamela Johnson, Gene (Kim) Hildreth, Jr., Bridgette (Michael) Johnson, Lory (Darren) Romero, Charles Kirschbaum III, Kim (Dan) Webb, Carla (Richard) Bennett, Gary (Jennifer) Davidson, Carl (Kathy) Kirschbaum, Jr., Chad Kirschbaum, Crystal (Pete) Nieto, Cody Kirschbaum, Robert (Cheryl) Bradshaw and Cherie Bradshaw; great-grandchildren, Amie Gulick, Ray (Lingze) Gulick, Fred Csader, Jennifer Csader, Alicia O’Neal, Eva (Stephen) Roby, Jessica Green, Jenifer (Matt) Simonson, Ana Mason, Jordan Green, Brooke Bennett, Ashley (Matt) Constable, Jeremy Stephens, Dominique Russell, Gene Hildreth III, Chris Davidson, Nate Davidson, Josh Means, Nikki (Michael) Cotton, Justine Campbell, Jackie Campbell, Jordan Bennett, Triston Kirschbaum, Ethan Kirschbaum, Emma Nieto, Brandon Boyd, John Randles, Jr., Jimmy Randles, Jake Randles, Heather Bradshaw and Danielle Bradshaw; great-great-grandchildren, Taylor Gulick, Michael, Kendra, and Nathan Csader, Emilee Roby, Teghan Mason, Brooklyn Simonson, Madeline and Ryan Constable, Jayden Cotton, TreShon, Tayvion and Aleigha Bradshaw and Alexis Moyer.
