Donny Bacon

Donny L. Bacon, 53, died suddenly Saturday, December 22, 2007 at Iowa Lutheran Hospital. The funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Lutheran Church of the Cross in Altoona. The visitation will be from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton’s Altoona Funeral Home.
Donny was born September 11, 1955 in Guthrie Center, Iowa to Sharron & Loren Bacon. He was employed with Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse in Altoona. Donny enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling, and cooking.
Donny is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Joyce; his sons, Tom and Todd (Norma) Bacon; his 4 grandchildren: Ashley and Hayley Bacon and Jackie and Johnny Fudge; his mother and father Sharron and Loren; his siblings; Debbie (Gary) Osterkamp, Denise Bacon and Randy Garrelts, Deanna, Duncan, and Darryl (Julie) Bacon; and many nieces, nephews, other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and father-in-law, his grandparents, and his grandson, Austin Bacon.
Donny’s body will be cremated following the funeral service. Memorial contributions may be made to the family in loving memory of Donny.
