Robert McNeley

Robert “Bob” McNeley, 64, passed away at his home on Friday, December 21, 2007. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St, with burial at Laurel Hill Cemetery. Family will greet friends on Wednesday from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Bob served with honor in the U.S. Navy. He worked at PDM Steel for many years, and retired from MTA.
Bob was loved by many for his huge heart and generosity. He enjoyed watching the Hawkeyes while talking on the phone with his best friend Bill. Bob coached the team from the comfort of his couch.
When it came to his grandkids, “Grandpa Bob” could never say no. Joe, Bryan, Maddi and Kennedi had him wrapped around their fingers. He loved them all very much.
Bob was a loving and devoted husband, father and Grandfather. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Donna and daughters Kim McNeley and Michelle (Kevin) Gogerty.
Bob is also survived by his sisters, Pat Carpenter and Jane Bonnett, as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Jennie McNeley, his brother Chuck McNeley, and sister Judy Dorsey.
Memorial contributions may be made to his family in his loving memory.
The family wishes to thank all who prayed for Bob during his illness. He is now at peace.
