Richard Rumley

Richard Allen Rumley, 71, was born May 3, 1936 in Pershing, Iowa, the son of Raymond and Berthell (Taylor) Rumley. He passed away peacefully Thursday, December 20, 2007 at Kavanagh House on Grand. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, December 27, 2007 at Zion United Methodist Church in Pershing, Iowa with burial to follow at Zion United Methodist Cemetery.
Richard is survived by his son, Richard Rumley, Jr. of Des Moines; 4 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; brothers, Thomas (Irene) Rumley and Raymond Rumley, Jr.; sisters, Jo Esther (Johnny) Bryson, Kathleen Rumley, Carol (Michael) Bruce, Dana Lee Burnside and Vickie Rumley; and a host of nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and many wonderful friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and many brothers and sisters.
The family will greet friends from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday at Hamilton’s Funeral Home, 605 Lyon St. in Des Moines. Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Iowa in loving memory of Richard.
