Ethel McMains

Ethel M. McMains, 87, passed away Saturday, December 02, 2006 at Kavanagh House on 56th St. Memorial Services on Tuesday, December 5 at 2:00 PM at Hamilton’s near Highland Memory Gardens, 121 NW 60th Ave. Visitation with the family one hour prior to services. Burial at a later date at Lorimor Cemetery in Lorimor, IA
Ethel was a member of Independent Order of Odd Fellows, Order of Eastern Star and Rose Society Club. She loved to cook for friends and family. She enjoyed making crafts and spending winters in Texas with her husband. The greatest joy in her life was spending time with her loving family.
Ethel is survived by her daughter, Judy McMains of Des Moines; grandchildren, Beth Breyfogle of Des Moines and David (Shawnna) McMains of Ankeny; sister, Norma Day of Texas; many nieces nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Luther McMains; son-in-law, Norman Breyfogle; five infant children; sister, Jean Jeffs and two brothers, Delbert Hircock and Bill Hircock.
Memorial Contributions are suggested to Hospice of Central Iowa, Kavanagh House on 56th St.
