Kimberlyn D. Dix, 45, died Saturday, December 8, 2007 at home. Kim enjoyed riding Harley’s, camping, cat fishing, gardening, her position as a Sales Consultant at Qwest and walking her dogs Simba and Harley. One of her greatest joys was the adventures with her grandchildren which included fishing with Chelsea.
Kim is survived by her husband Mike Dix of Adel; parents, Nile and Donna McCoy of Newton, IA; daughters, Nicki (Courtney) Christianson, Heather Schoenherr, Kristi Dix; sons, Jeremiah Schoenherr, Josh (Jemeela) Schoenherr; brothers, Doug (Debbie) Hasselman, Shawn Clements, Roger Hasselman; sisters, Cindy (Jeff) Walraven; grandchildren, Chelsea and Dylan; her in-laws Ronald Dix of East Dubuque, IL, Shirley (Rick) Gassman of Dubuque, IA; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation and Funeral Services will be at Hamilton’s on Westown Parkway, 3601 Westown Parkway, West Des Moines, Iowa. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 12, 2007 from 5 to 8:00 p.m., funeral service on Thursday, December 13 at 11:30 a.m. Burial will be at Oakdale Cemetery in Adel, Iowa. The family wishes to thank Iowa Hospice for all of their assistance. Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to Island Park in Adel, Iowa.

Kim is going to be missed by so many people. I met Kim working at Qwest, and she was a great person, and always fun to be around. She was very kind, and thoughtful, and cared about others. I know she loved her family very much, and my thoughts and prayers are with them during this time.

Kim will be greatly missed here at Qwest. It was always a joy to call "Mission Control" and hear her wonderful laugh. My thoughts and prayers are with you in trying time.
